Welcome to the Biological Sciences Department

The Biological Sciences Department is located in the Sonderegger Science Center, which opened in January 1999. Additional classrooms, labs, and research space are located in and around the Mazzuchelli Center that is set on the waterfront of Lake Wingra. This location provides a unique opportunity for students to step out of the classroom and get involved in research and projects that can impact the lake, its watershed, and the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Sonderegger Science Center is home to the nation's first "Kindergarten through College" science education model.

Located in the atrium of Sonderegger is the Interactive Science Education Exhibit Center (ISEEC). The ISEEC houses interactive multimedia exhibits to convey an integrated view of nature and science. Exhibits are interactive, incorporate a wide range of media such as physical models, living systems, and computer simulations, and are of interest to science students of all ages.

Thank you for visiting the Biological Sciences Department's website. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
